I actually thought the exact same thing. Like, “wow, boy that sure does look like “the End” Cas, doesn’t it?” But it wasn’t until I saw the IMAGES right next to each other that I noticed how strikingly similar those two hairstyles are. Like literally, they almost styled his hair strand-for-strand the way it is in “The End”. And considering that this is something that the makeup dept had to do and be meticulous about, I can only wonder; were they using “The End” as a model, and if so, why? Adding to the cryptic statement of Sam’s “We’re heading towards THE END” and the reaction shot of Dean, and the fact that Edlund, who WROTE “The End” (so he wouldn’t put that in for no reason) wouldn’t have done that for no reason, I’m starting to get a little scared, and I DON’T AT ALL think this is coincidental.

Because when we write, we create our own mini worlds, right? We become gods (that is some meta madness let me tell you) to our stories. And everything Edlund has EVER done has been deliberate and with purpose. This is no different to me. And I’m a little terrified of the outcome now.
